THE SEASON SO FAR

Hey folks,
Just for you to know I have been upgrading my websites and from now on I'll be writing blogposts in English. But without further ado, let's get into the topic...
The season so far has been a rollercoaster like usually, but it has been one of the most exciting ones. We started the pre season in Ushuaia Argentina, which was a great 4 week block to get back to skiing after a long summer break.
After Argentina I had one week holiday in Greece to recharge the batteries before the real race season started. Like always the race season starts in Sölden with the World Cup opener. Every year feels like Sölden comes too quickly and this season it wasn't an exception. I did some good trainings going into the race but i still could feel the stress and nerves. I missed top 30 by a couple of spots...
After Sölden we did a training block in Levi before the World Cup, which is basically ''home race''. Levi provided good trainings considering the weather conditions that didn't make it easy. Slalom has been a struggle for me, but we try to catch up a little bit with slalom on this period...
Then it was time to travel to US and (Canada). Killington was our next stop on tour and I managed to make some good skiing but ended up with a DNF... Our plan was to stay in Killington for some training before heading to Tremblant, but unfortunately my favorite races on tour got cancelled. We still sticked to our plan and trained in Killington for few more days but rescheduled the flight back, just to catch the European Cup race in Mayrhofen.
Mayrhofen was a nice surprice without any sleep and a little jetlag. I managed to score a top 5 result...
Before Christmas there was not much races, so we focused more on training instead. Semmering was scheduled right after Christmas so we usually get ready for racing during the holidays. Semmering wasn't bad skiing at all but lost way too much on the last section and missed the second run.
New Years went by and we got ready to race is Kranjska Gora. Kranjska Gora was difficult for me and I couldn't perform on the level I wanted to. I learned a lot and I took it as a lesson.
After Kranjska Gora we did some speed trainings which was so exciting. I think the speed trainings gave me more confidence for GS too. Then we headed to Puy Saint Vincent for the next European Cup races. A long travel to France was totally worth it and I scored a podium with a 3rd place finish, and the second race with a solid top 10 result.
Before heading home for a little break we had one more World Cup race in Kronplatz. Kronplatz was a positive note skiing vise and closely missed the top 30 spot... Right now I'm really excited whats to come for the rest of the season and I'm definitely hungry for more!
Next up some European Cup races in Oberjoch right before the World Championships in Saalbach...
